Why the name Saffron? Saffron is the orange stigma from a plant called Crocus sativus. These stigmas are used in a variety of ways including cooking and dying. The dye color produced is a rich orange yellow very similar to the color of my hair. Why the name The Charming Saffron? I recently managed a theatre school and one of the plays we did was an excerpt from The Voyage of the Charming Sally. It ended up being a favorite. Where am I from?
